Sep 27, 2012 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic is reportedly to take in four additional Bombardier Dash-8 Q400 aircraft in 2013.
The first two are due to be delivered in May 2013, with the next two to follow in June 2013.
The carrier had planned to phase in the new aircraft already this autumn but deliveries were delayed, also causing the carrier to retain two Fokker 50 aircraft in service to support operations.
The new Q400 aircraft will be taken on an operational lease, presumably from the Danish turboprop lessor Nordic Aviation Capital that has already provided airBaltic with its current fleet of eight Dash-8 Q400 aircraft.
