Sep 04, 2012 (newstodate): Thanks to continued ISAF operations at Latvia's Riga International Airport since early this year, the airport's cargo volumes are growing at record-levels in 2012.
In August a total of 2,851 tonnes of cargo was handled at the airport, an increase by 164.5 percent, y-o-y.
Totals included 2,365 tonnes of air cargo while the remainder was post volumes.
In the first eight months of this year, volumes are thus up by 181.7 percent, y-o-y, to 22,783 tonnes, of which 18,952 tonnes are air cargo.
