Sep 18, 2012 (newstodate): UPS has launched direct freighter flights between its European hub and Moscow, Russia.
Effective from September 3, 2012, UPS is operating a daily direct flights between Cologne/Bonn Airport and Moscow Vnukovo Airport, using Boeing 737-400F aircraft on the route.
Driven by Russia's entry into WTO, the new direct flight allows next-day delivery services to all major cities in the EU from central Moscow and reduces time-in-transit to points around the world by a full day.
UPS has been servicing Russia since 1989 and now operates a network comprising 17 package sorting facilities, two supply chain facilities and more than 100 access points where customers can pick up and drop off packages.
