Sep 12, 2012 (newstodate): Iceland's Keflavik Airport saw its cargo volumes sliding in August 2012.
A total of 2,767 tonnes of cargo was handled at the airport, a decrease by nine percent, y-o-y.
So far into 2012 volumes are still growing, though, with a 8.3 percent, increase against January-August 2011, to a total of 25.319 tonnes.
The growth trend peaked in May 2012 when volumes were up by 26.6 percent to 3,777 tonnes.
Since then the monthly growth figures have declined, dipping into the red from August.
