Sep 10, 2012 (newstodate): Iceland Express plans to be back in the USA from next summer.
The carrier will start flights between Iceland Keflavik Airport and Boston from the beginning of the 2013 summer schedule.
Iceland Express launched services to Boston from summer 2011, but was forced to pull out of the US traffic in the autumn after growing problems with its provider of aircraft services, the UK-based ACMI provider Astraeus Airlines.
Since then, Iceland Express has operated a limited flights schedule using Airbus A320 aircraft from Holidays Czech Airlines on its route network.
Until summer 2011, Iceland Express also offered flights from Iceland to New York and Chicago.
Iceland Express launched its first Transatlantic flights to New York Newark Airport from June 1, 2010.
