Sep 18, 2012 (newstodate): A consortium of two German companies has emerged as the winner of a tender for construction of new airports in Turkmenistan.
The consortium by Airport Consulting Partners and ILF Consulting Engineers will be responsible for management of the construction of the new international airport at the country's capital Ashgabat, as well as development of the airports of Turkmenabat and Dashuguz.
The projects include new facilities, modernisation of existing infrastructure, expansion of runways and other key works.
