New in the position as airberlin Area Manager Eastern Europe is Mohammed Nasr, succeeding Stefan Magiera, who took on the role as Vice President Corporate Sales for Germany, Austria and Switzerland on August 1, 2012.
Mr Nasr's responsibility comprises all commercial activities in Eastern Europe including Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Russia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, and the Ukraine.
airberlin currently offers flights from Germany and Austria to nine destinations in the area, now also including Riga in Latvia through the carrier's recent code-share agreement with airBaltic.
