Sep 14, 2012 (newstodate): Work is progressing on restructuring of Estonian Air's cargo business, since August 1, 2012, managed by ConcordeAviation under a 100 percent out-sourcing contract.
-As part of the process we are looking into all existing GSA and GSSA contracts to optimize the cargo sales positions in each individual market, says Alexander Wirth, ConcordeAviation owner & CEO.
-We will opt for a country-by-country solution in order to secure close relations between Estonian Air Cargo and local customers, rather than contracting a single GSSA provider for multi-market sales that might result in Estonian Air ending up as just one small carrier among a host of other airline principals.
-At the same time we are looking into possible segmentation of the cargo products to optimize the revenue from cargo sales on Estonian Air's fleet and route network. This also include opening up more destinations for cargo sales than are today available with Estonian Air.
-While no exact deadlines for these and many other projects have been fixed, I expect us to arrive at conclusions within three to six months, says Mr Wirth.
