Sep 19, 2012 (newstodate): The Swedish ULD manufacturer Envirotainer has opened a new office in Singapore to improve access to its active temperature-controlled air cargo containers and cold chain management services across Asia Pacific.
With Asia Pacific expected to grow by 97 percent and account for 29 percent of global pharma sales by 2016, Envirotainers increased investment in Asia is part of its strategy to be leading the market and to build on its existing partnerships with healthcare companies and their airline and logistics partners across the region.
In 2011, Envirotainer served more than 300 unique airport-to-airport combinations which originated from nearly 20 different Asian countries.
In 2011, Envirotainer worked with more than 400 companies in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry in transportation of the equivalent of 75,000 pallets to more than 100 countries around the world.
The new Singapore office will work closely with Envirotainer's Asia Pacific Operations Center located in Sydney, Australia.
