Sep 05, 2012 (newstodate): The Czech state is consolidating the country's state-owned aviation companies under one roof: Czech Aeroholding, fully-owned state group.
In its latest move, the state has now deposited its 95.7 percent stake in the carrier CSA in Czech Aeroholding as the group's sixth subsidiary company.
Already consolidated within the group, set up in March 2011, are CSA Services, Czech Airlines Technics, Czech Airlines Handling and the charter carrier Holidays Czech Airlines.
With this construction, the operational results from each subsidiary are consolidated into one book.
In January, 2009, the Czech state put 91.5 percent of the shares up for sale in an effort to privatize the airline
The tender drew immediate interest from parties including Air France, Aeroflot, the Czech private equity group Penta, and the US investment group Odien Group - but all withdrew after closer looks into the books of CSA.
Consequently, the state decided to stop further efforts towards privatization - so far, at least..
