Sep 03, 2012 (newstodate): Montenegro's airfreight volumes continue their free fall in 2012.
During the first seven months of 2012 a total of only 441 tonnes of airfreight was handled at the country's two international airports at at Podgorica and Tivat.
This was a decrease by 39.8 percent, y-o-y.
This continued the negative trend from 2011 when a total of 1,074 tonnes was handled at the airports against 2,159 tonnes in 2010 - a decline by 50.2 percent, y-o-y.
The two airports fared better in passenger traffic during January-July 2012 when total passenger volumes were up by eight percent to 739.282 - seen against the all-year performance in 2011 where volumes were up modestly by 4.4 percent, y-o-y, to 1,258,835.
