Sep 03, 2012 (newstodate): Denmark's Billund Airport still lacks a lift-off in 2012 for its cargo business.
In August 2012, cargo volumes again dropped 1.8 percent, y-o-y, to a total of 5,487 tonnes including 3,112 tonnes of exports which was an increase by 13.9 percent that was, however, bogged down by a fall by 16.8 percent in imports, down 2.375 tonnes.
During the first eight months of 2012, the airport has handled 41,496 tonnes of cargo - down 0.5 percent, y-o-y.
During this period exports were up 0.8 percent to 21,390 tonnes, while imports have dropped 1.8 percent, to 20,106 tonnes.
