Sep 14, 2012 (newstodate): Germany's second-largest airline airberlin has entered a code-share agreement with the Latvian carrier airBaltic.
Under the new agreement, oneworld partner airline airberlin will add its airline code to airBaltic's flights between Riga and Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Munich, Frankfurt and Berlin, while airBaltic's passengers will be able to book a connecting airberlin flight to various German cities in combination with an airBaltic flight to Germany.
The code-share agreement thus adds Riga as a new airberlin destination and is an element in airberlin's strategy towards the growing markets of Eastern Europe.
