Sep 10, 2012 (newstodate): The Armenian carrier Armavia is planning for a return of services on the route between Armenia and Georgia.
The first flights since January 2012 is slated for September 24, 2012, and the initial frequency will be two weekly rotations between Yerevan and Tbilisi using Yak-42 aircraft.
The fist flight on the route was operated on March 14, 2009, and earlier served as an option for air traffic between Georgia and Russia where direct flights were halted during the years of armed conflict and political unrest.
