Aug 28, 2012 (newstodate): Poland's Warsaw Chopin Airport saw its cargo volumes almost unchanged during the first seven months of 2012.
A total of 25,129 tonnes of cargo was handled at the airport, an increase by 0.95 percent, y-o-y.
International cargo was up 0.96 percent, to 24,746 tonnes, while domestic cargo was only 383 tonnes during the period.
Of the international cargo, imports were 14,775 tonnes, and 9,971 tonnes consisted of exports.
Mail volumes totaled 9,992 tonnes, increasing 4,8 percent, y-o-y, especially due to a 6.4 percent increase in international mail volumes, to 6,478 tonnes.
In July 2012, the airport handled 3,852 tonnes of cargo, up 11.6 percent, y-o-y, and 1,362 tonnes of mail, increasing 8.2 percent.
