Aug 02, 2012 (newstodate): The Slovenian state has now opened up for sale of nearly 75 percent of the stake in the country's airline, Adria Airways.
The carrier has accumulated heavy losses and failed in its initial efforts to overcome the situation by finding international strategic partners.
In 2011, Slovenia's government decided to put the country's loss-making carrier up for sale, and the carrier has since reduced its aircraft fleet and suspended services on many routes.
Based at Ljubljana Airport, the Star Alliance member carrier operates a fleet of 13 aircraft including three Airbus A320 Family aircraft, four Bombardier CRJ900 and six CRJ200 aircraft.
