Aug 10, 2012 (newstodate): The Polish carrier LOT is scheduling a thorough revamp of its aircraft fleet as the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft are entering service from Winter 2013.
The carrier is handing a total of 10 Boeing aircraft back to the leasing company, including six Boeing 737 and four Boeing 767-300ER aircraft.
Three Boeing 737 aircraft will remain in service until end of October 2013 after which they will also be returned to their owners.
The Boeing 767-300ER will be replaced by the Boeing 787 aircraft, while the Boeing 737 aircraft will be replaced with the growing fleet of Embraer aircraft.
In service now with LOT are a total of 24 Embraer aircraft of various types, and LOT still has orders for a further six Embraer 195 aircraft
