Aug 23, 2012 (newstodate): Lufthansa Cargo holds a strong position in the Nordic region's airfreight markets.
In July 2012, the company lifted a total of 2,487 tonnes of airfreight from the Nordic region including Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.
This was almost on a par with the volumes generated in its home markets by SAS Cargo that amounted to 2,582 tonnes.
In Denmark, SAS Cargo topped the list with 1,021 tonnes, compared to Lufthansa Cargo's 593 tonnes.
In Norway, Lufthansa Cargo lifted 783 tonnes compared to SAS Cargo's 526 tonnes.
In Sweden, SAS Cargo was again heading the top-10 list with 950 tonnes, with Lufthansa Cargo trailing behind with 721 tonnes.
And in Finland, Lufthansa Cargo was again rated #2 after invincible Finnair with 390 tonnes, while SAS Cargo managed a position as #10 with 85 tonnes.
