Aug 16, 2012 (newstodate): The freighter carrier, Nordic Global Airlines Ltd based in Helsinki, Finland, has signed a new multi-year contract for engine overhaul.
Nordic Global Airlines has contracted CTS Engines to provide engine overhaul agreement for seven CF6-80C2D1F engines driving the carrier's three MD-11F aircraft.
Launched in August 2011, Nordic Global Airlines is owned by Finnair Group, Neff Capital Management, Daken Capital Partners, and Ilmarinen Mutual Insurance Company.
The carrier is basically a capacity provider for Finnair Cargo and other operators, operating ex-Finnair converted MD-11 freighter aircraft.
