Aug 16, 2012 (newstodate): Ethiopian Airlines is launching a new direct freighter service between Ethiopia and Russia.
The first flight was performed on August 15, 2012, between Addis Abeba and Moscow Domodedovo Airport, and the carrier will now provide two weekly rotations on the route, served with Boeing 757 freighter aircraft.
Exports from Ethiopia to Russia include a variety of perishables and edibles as well as flowers.
