Aug 14, 2012 (newstodate): the first low cost carrier in the Middle East and North Africa, Air Arabia is to expand its presence in the Ukrainian market.
Effective from November 1, 2012, the carrier will offer flights between Sharjah and Odessa, in Ukraine, with two weekly rotations using Airbus A320 aircraft.
Air Arabia launched their first Ukrainian services on October 15, 2008, with three weekly flights between Sharjah and Kiev, using Airbus A320 aircraft on the route.
Another Gulf-based LCC, flydubai is also operating flights between the Gulf region and Ukraine, since September 16, 2011, offering flights from Dubai to Kiev and Kharkov, followed on September 17, 2011, by flights from Dubai to Donetsk.
