Aug 30, 2012 (newstodate): During January-July 2012, Russian airlines saw their combined cargo volumes reaching 546,507 tonnes.
While still an impressive volume, the growth over the period is slowing down and is now only 2.1 percent, y-o-y.
July 2012 proved no exception as volumes at 28,287 tonnes were actually down 9.8 percent, y-o-y.
The top-5 in Russia's cargo business are AirBridgeCargo with 201,824
tonnes of freight and mail, down 0.4 percent, y-o-y, followed by Aeroflot with 107,278 tonnes, up 26.3 percent, Volga-Dnepr with 40,194 tonnes and up 11.2 percent, Transaero with 33,295 tonnes, up 29.4 percent, and finally S7 with 19,883 tonnes and up 2.2 percent, y-o-y.
