Aug 28, 2012 (newstodate): Following a tender process, Wizz Air has awarded Aviator Norway with a nation-wide ground handling contract.
The carrier is currently operating flights at the airports of Stavanger, Haugesund, Bergen, and Trondheim's Sandefjord as well as Vaernes that will soon be opened, and Aviator will provide Wizz Air with a full handling package at all these stations.
Owned by the investment group Accent Equity 2008, Aviator was set up in November 2010 by the Swedish company Nordic Aero and the Norwegian companies Roeros Flyservice and Norport Ground Handling, adding Denmark's Novia from March 2011.
