Aug 22, 2012 (newstodate): The Board of the Faroe Islands' Vagar Airport is working hard to realize the plans for construction of a new passenger terminal following on the recent tender.
Five companies were invited to participate - and bids spanned from DKK 125,640,096 to DKK 160,895,014, compared to the project estimate at DKK 102,000,000.
The Board is now talking to the lowest bidder, the Faroese construction company Articon, in an effort to identify 22 mio DKK savings potentials in the project allowing the final offer to end at the original estimate.
This process is expected to be concluded by next week, after which the parties may sign the final contract.
