The first Russian airport to have daily A380 traffic will be Moscow Domodedovo Airport where Emirates will be online with daily A380 flights on the route between Dubai and Moscow.
The carrier will thus replace the Boeing 777-300ER on one of the two daily flights by the airline to the Russian capital since July 2003.
Preparing for handling of the new aircraft at Domodedovo, the airport has has purchased a unique double-level air-bridge, mounted in May 2012, special catering motor highlifts able to reach the upper deck of A380, de-icers and push-back tractors.
Moscow Domodedovo is also sure to see the first Airbus A380 operations by a Russian carrier - Transaero that has firmed up its order for delivery of four Aircraft of this type, with delivery dates yet to be announced.
