Aug 21, 2012 (newstodate): Bombardier is expecting a steady increase in the number of CRJ100 and CRJ200 aircraft operated by carriers in Russia and the CIS countries.
At the beginning of 2012, a total of 55 aircraft of these types were in service in Russia and CIS, and Bombardier will secure their maintenance by opening up new authorized service centers, with the latest opening in Kazan in cooperation with Tulpar Technics.
Plans are already on the table for opening of another authorized service center in Russia, to be located in Moscow and launching business from the end of this year.
In Russia alone, excluding other CIS countries, Tatarstan operates six aircraft of these types, IrAero three, Rusline 14, UTAir 15, Yamal seven, Ak Bars Aero eight, and Premier Avia two, with orders for a further 12.
