Jul 26, 2012 (newstodate): The Russian carrier Polet Airlines is strong in both passenger and cargo transportation - and these two segments will now be split.
According to plans, the passenger airline and the cargo carrier will from 2013 be set up as two independent legal entities within one holding group.
In the fleet of Polet Airlines now are five Saab 2000, five Saab 340B, five BAe-125 and two An-148-100 serving the passenger market.
The carrier's freighter fleet includes four An-124-100, three IL-96-400T, and one IL-76TD.
On orders are eight AN-148-100, 20 SAAB 340 and two SAAB 200 aircraft for passenger transportation, and five AN-124-100 and three IL-76TD freighters.
