Jul 26, 2012 (newstodate): Starting flights on its first route on April 28, 2012, the new Ukrainian carrier Air Onix has again added another aircraft to its fleet.
Starting out with one Boeing 737-300 aircraft, formerly operated by Estonian Air, the carrier added a second aircraft in June 2012, an ex-Aerosvit Boeing 737-500.
Only one month later, Air Onix has taken delivery of its third Boeing aircraft, another ex-Aerosvit Boeing 737-500.
With the delivery of its third aircraft the company has completed the first stage of its fleet strategy.
Air Onix connects Simferopol, the capital of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, with large regional centers in Ukraine and neighboring countries, and has now also obtained rights to operate flights to St Petersburg, launching flights from Simferopol from July 11, 2012.
