Jul 31, 2012 (newstodate): During January-June 2012, Russian airlines saw the combined cargo volumes up by 4.4 percent, y-o-y, to 468,220 tonnes.
The largest contributors were AirBridgeCargo with 173,394 tonnes, up 2.6 percent, y-o-y, Aeroflot with 91,247 tonnes and up 16.3 percent, Volga-Dnepr Airlines with 35,234 tonnes and up 16.3 percent, Transaero with 27,384 tonnes and up 29.6 percent, and S7 Airlines with 15,863 tonnes, unchanged against same period in 2011.
Together, these five airlines thus accounted for 73 percent of all cargo on Russian airlines in H1/2012.
June 2012 was, however, less booming with a drop in the combined volumes by seven percent, y-o-y, to 74,848 tonnes.
