Jul 24, 2012 (newstodate): Doha-based Qatar Airways has decided to step up frequencies on its route to Norway.
Effective from January 1, 2013, the carrier will add two more flights to the route between Doha and Oslo, ending up with daily flights.
The route was opened with the first flight on October 5, 2011, using Airbus A330-200 that will remain on the route, alternating with Airbus A330-300 as warranted by market demands.
Norway was the last Scandinavian market to enter Qatar Airways' route network, after flights on the route to Stockholm Arlanda from Doha International Airport from November 27, 2007, and to Copenhagen, in Denmark, from March 30, 2010.
Finland is also to be served by Qatar Airways in 2012, but no launch date has so far been announced.
