Jul 24, 2012 (newstodate): Airfreight volumes are still in decline in the Swedish market.
During January-April 2012, volumes at the two largest airports, Stockholm Arlanda and Gothenburg Landvetter, dropped 22 percent compared to last year.
Together, the two airports handled close to 79,000 tonnes compared to 101,000 tonnes during the same period in 2011.
-The expected recovery in Q2 cannot be seen for the first months; however the drop has leveled out, and we now expect a recovery during the fall with increased volumes, says Ylva Arvidsson, Swedavia Director Cargo.
