Jun 26, 2012 (newstodate): Uzbekistan is to register three airports for international traffic.
The recent decision concerns the airports of Tashkent, Nukus and Samarkand, and data on the status of these airports are now to be included in the international air navigation publications.
In line with this decision, the state will now secure the implementation of facilities for border and customs control, sanitary and veterinary control, and visa support at the three airports.
Today only Tashkent Airport has extensive international traffic, while the two other airports so far have only domestic and CIS traffic.
