Jun 14, 2012 (newstodate): Tajikistan's privately-owned carrier Somon Air has added its sixth Boeing 737 aircraft.
The aircraft, the carrier's second Boeing 737-300, has been delivered on a financial leasing contract with Boeing Capital Corporation.
In the fleet are also two Boeing 737-800 and two company-owned Boeing 737-900ER aircraft.
Based at Dushanbe, the carrier performed its first commercial flight on February 5, 2008, opening up with services to Moscow and other Russian destinations and later, on July 29, 2009, adding services to Frankfurt, Germany, as its first flight into Europe, where Aircargonet International is serving Somon Air as its GSSA.
