Jun 20, 2012 (newstodate): Riding on the back of Cimber Sterling's demise, SAS is starting two new routes from Billund Airport, in western Denmark.
Effective from September 13, 2012, SAS will operate five daily flights between Billund and Copenhagen, as well as one daily flight between Billund and Oslo, in Norway.
The flights to Copenhagen will be operated by Cimber A/S using ATR-42 aircraft on the route, while the flights to Oslo will be operated with a SAS Boeing 737 aircraft.
SAS will also increase frequencies on its existing domestic routes to Aalborg and Aarhus, going up to nine and seven rotations, respectively.
