Jun 20, 2012 (newstodate): Effective from July 1, 2012, the Russian carrier Rossiya Russian Airlines has contracted LUG aircargo handling to provide cargo handling at Frankfurt Airport.
The carrier operates the route between St Petersburg and Frankfurt with six weekly rotations using Airbus A320 aircraft.
The handling provider expects Rossiya's cargo volumes on the route to be around 1,000 tonnes annually.
The St Petersburg-based carrier contributes around 40 percent of all flight operations at its home base.
LUG aircargo handling also counts airBaltic and Finnair among its customers at Frankfurt Airport and handled 217,000 tons of cargo in 2011 at the airports of Frankfurt and Munich.
