Jun 12, 2012 (newstodate): During the first five months of this year, Russian airlines have seen their total cargo volumes up by 8.9 percent, y-o-y.
During the period the carriers lifted 310,706 tonnes of cargo, with AirBridgeCargo leading the top end with 115,764 tonnes, up 11.5 percent, followed by Aeroflot with 59,680 tonnes, up 28.3 percent, y-o-y.
Third largest in cargo volumes was Volga-Dnepr with 25,432 tonnes, up 25.9 percent, followed by Transaero with 16,565 tonnes, up 25,9 percent and S7 that lifted 10,876 tonnes of cargo and mail, however down 4,1 percent, y-o-y.
These top-5 performers thus accounted for 74 percent of the total cargo on Russian airlines, by far outgrowing the total market.
