Today, most airports only provide handling services by one company, commonly owned by the airport itself.
On the table now are plans to introduce new regulations for the airport ground handling business, with requirements for at least two handling providers at airport where annual passenger volumes exceed two million, and at least three handling providers at airport where passenger volumes exceed five million.
