Jun 21, 2012 (newstodate): The Georgian carrier FlyGeorgia, based at Tbilisi Airport, has taken delivery of its first aircraft.
Now in the fleet is one Airbus A319, formerly operated by Armavia, and plans are to start up with two aircraft.
The carrier will reportedly launch flights on a network comprising destinations in Europe, the Middle East, South Asia as well as the CIS region.
FlyGeorgia will become the second carrier, after Georgian Airways, to be based at Tbilisi Airport, but a final start-up date has yet to be announced.
