Jun 29, 2012 (newstodate): Construction has started on a new air cargo facility at Russia's Vladivostok International Airport.
Behind the project is the Russian company Air Catering-Vladivostok supported by Lufthansa Consulting has has been contracted to supervise the construction and the commissioning as well as to support the initial operation of the material handling system.
Operating under harsh winter conditions, the new terminal is designed to an annual handling capacity at 30,000 tonnes of primarily palletized cargo.
The terminal is scheduled to start operations prior to the APEC summit in September 2012.
