Jun 06, 2012 (newstodate): Air China is to increase frequency on its direct service between Stockholm, Sweden, and Beijing.
Effective from today, June 6, 2012, the Star Alliance member-carrier is offering a daily service on the route to be served with Airbus A330-200 aircraft, replacing the Boeing 777-200 used earlier on t he five-times weekly schedule.
Since 1988, Air China has been online at Stockholm Arlanda Airport that remains its only Scandinavian destination.
In 2011, Air China announced a decision to open up Copenhagen Airport, Denmark, as its second Scandinavian destination from June 2, 2012, with four weekly rotations - but these plans were canceled in March 2012.
In the Danish market, SAS thus remains alone in serving the route to Beijing with daily flights.
