Jun 04, 2012 (newstodate): Iceland Express has decided to cancel plans for flights between Keflavik Airport and Krakow, Poland.
The route was to be opened from June 8, 2012, with one weekly rotation, but plans have now been stalled due to low demand in the market.
The carrier also operated seasonal summer flights between Iceland and Krakow in 2009 and 2010.
Behind the decision to pull out may also be the fact that another Icelandic low-cost carrier, WOW Air is introducing flights between Iceland and Krakow from June 12, 2012.
The same two carriers will also compete from this summer on flights between Iceland and Warsaw, in Poland, with WOW air entering this route from June 11, 2012.
