Jun 12, 2012 (newstodate): The new amendments to the Finnish/Japanese air services agreement will further boost business through more open skies.
-This full opening of air services agreement between Finland and Japan is extremely important for Finnair Cargo, says Juha Jarvinen, Finnair Cargo Managing Director.
-We are already one of TOP-3 European carriers into Japan with 24 weekly flights this summer season. Our daily frequencies from Tokyo Narita, Osaka and Nagoya have shown a good performance, and we are increasing our market share in many markets, including Scandinavia and Germany.
-We are looking forward to the opening of daily JAL service from Tokyo to Helsinki with Boeing 787 Dreamliner in 2013, which offers us twice daily product to/from Tokyo Narita.
-Finnair Cargo does not operate with freighters into Japan currently, but we are closely following the market developments to evaluate new potentials, says Mr Jarvinen.
