Jun 11, 2012 (newstodate): Japan and Finland have signed a new aviation services agreement aiming at (more) open skies.
Under the new agreement, restrictions on flights between Tokyo Narita and Finland will be removed, starting from summer 2013.
All restrictions on flights between Japan and Finland, excluding Tokyo airports, will be removed, which includes also unlimited 5th freedom traffic rights and cargo services, and until summer 2013 when Tokyo Narita Airport's annual slots will reach 270,000 per year, services to and from Tokyo Narita Airport may be increased.
The Air Services Agreement between Finland and Japan was first signed in 1980 and later amended in 1991, 1993, 1996, and 1999.
