Jun 18, 2012 (newstodate): Estonian Air is still undecided on which way to go with its air cargo business.
After the carrier's head of cargo left his office on June 8, 2012, cargo sales continue unchanged with Helen Link in charge of cargo sales in Estonia until a long-term solution has been found.
-Customers can still go to Estonian Air cargo sales contacts while we are considering all variants at this moment, says Ilona Eskelinen, Estonian Air communications manager.
Outside Estonia, the carrier's cargo capacity is sold by a number of GSA providers.
Operating a fleet of regional aircraft, Estonian Air relies heavily on road feeder services and has also pursued a strategy of seeking international cargo through GSA providers in Asia and the USA, with shipments carried into Europe by airline partners for onward trucking into the Baltic markets.
In 2011, Estonian Air carried a total of 977 tonnes of cargo and mail, up 3.3 percent, y-o-y.
