Jun 05, 2012 (newstodate): Estonian Air now confirms that it will outsource its cargo business, as reported by newstodate yesterday.
-Yes, our cargo business will be outsourced. A GSA solution is a likely option, but we are currently finalizing the review of other available models, says Tero Taskila, Estonian Air CEO.
-We are still carrying cargo, and the demand has been stable throughout the first five months of the year, but our product mix has changed somewhat over this period.
-We now carry more mail and priority cargo as opposed to the volume cargo. This is driven by a better product, especially increased frequencies on most flights, and the size limitations coming with the smaller aircraft now operated by Estonian Air - the Embraer CRJ900, says Mr Taskila.
