Jun 20, 2012 (newstodate): Norway's Oslo Gardermoen Airport continued its growth trend in cargo volumes through May 2012.
A total of 8,879 tonnes of cargo and mail was handled at the airport, an increase by 10.8 percent, y-o-y.
International cargo drove the trend, with an increase by 15 percent to 6,502 tonnes, while domestic cargo grew only 0.7 percent to 2,377 tonnes.
For January-May 2012, volumes were 42,610 tonnes, an increase by 10.8 percent, y-o-y, including 29,951 tonnes of international cargo, up 13.7 percent, and 12,659 tonnes of domestic cargo, increasing 4.9 percent, y-o-y.
