Jun 28, 2012 (newstodate): The Lithuanian ground handling provider Baltic Ground Services has landed a new contract for provision of aircraft fueling.
Effective from July 19, 2012, the company will start offering aircraft fueling at Lithuania's Palanga Airport after being awarded a contract earlier this year on the lease of aircraft fueling facilities at the airport and rights to use the 325 cubic meters fuel base for a period of five years.
According to the contract, Baltic Ground Services will also ensure the uninterrupted fuel logistics at Palanga Airport's fuel base from Vilnius International Airport's fuel base.
BGS is now looking into the market for more opportunities of expansion, including new ground handling business at Latvia's Riga Airport as well as Lithuania's Kaunas Airport.
Baltic Ground Services is also licensed to provide ground handling of aircraft and passenger services at Vilnius and Palanga, as well as in six major airports in Poland Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw, Gdansk, Poznan and Katowice.
