Jun 21, 2012 (newstodate): According to Armenian media, Armavia is "soon" to take delivery of its second Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft.
Armavia was the first airline operator to put the Superjet into commercial operation from April 2011, and the second and last aircraft ordered so far was earlier slated to follow by Q1, 2012.
After a planned delay, the delivery of the second Superjet 100 aircraft to the airline has now been set for June 2012.
Market sources claim that following on the delivery of the second aircraft the carrier plans to place orders for a further three Superjet 100 shortly, bringing the fleet to five aircraft.
In the meantime Aeroflot has now brought its fleet of Superjet 100 aircraft to nine units.
