Jun 14, 2012 (newstodate): Air China is consolidating its services on the route between Beijing and its Scandinavian gateway, Stockholm Arlanda Airport in Sweden.
From June 6, 2012, the carrier has been offering a daily service on the route with Airbus A330-200 aircraft, replacing the Boeing 777-200 used earlier on the five-times weekly schedule.
Now the carrier is also planning for an increase in frequency on the route during the coming winter schedule from October 29, 2012.
The carrier will thus be operating six weekly rotations during winter 2012/13, against five in last winter's schedule, again using Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
Since 1988, Air China has been online at Stockholm Arlanda Airport that remains its only Scandinavian destination.
In 2011, Air China announced plans for the opening of services to Copenhagen Airport, Denmark, as its second Scandinavian destination from June 2, 2012, with four weekly rotations - but these plans were canceled in March 2012.
