May 22, 2012 (newstodate): Russia and South Korea have signed an MoU aiming at easing restrictions on air traffic between the two countries.
The MoU signalizes the intentions of lifting restrictions on the number of designated airlines from each side as well as restrictions on flights between Vladivostok and a number of destinations in South Korea.
The MoU conforms with the intentions of establishing Vladivostok International Airport as a new hub for passenger and cargo flights, and delegates from the two states also discussed the introduction of Fifth Freedom rights for carriers operating between Russia and North America via South Korea.
